Winifred Haun & Dancers are Currently Seeking Male and Female Dancers

Winifred Haun and Dancers are currently seeking male and female dancers for the October 2017 to June 2018 contract period. Dancers must be available for rehearsals on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00am to 1:30pm and some Sunday afternoons and be available for performances October, November & December 2017. Contract includes Company class, and rehearsal and performance pay.

Qualified candidates will possess a strong technical background in ballet, modern and contemporary dance and performing experience. Knowledge of Circus acrobatic and/or aerial techniques is a plus.

Some dancers may be invited to participate in our Associate Dancer program, which allows qualified advanced dancers to take Company Class for free and to attend rehearsals to learn Company repertory. Associate Dancers are often invited to perform with the Company, and many current Company Dancers are former Associate Dancers.

When: Sunday, September 17, 2017, 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Where: Lou Conte Dance Studio at Hubbard St. Dance Center 1147 W. Jackson, Chicago, USA

How to Apply: No pre-registration required. If you have a resume and photo, feel free to bring them, but don’t make any special effort to produce these things especially for this Audition. We mostly just want to see you dance.

We won’t teach a warm-up, so feel free to come early to warm yourself up. All dancers should be ready to dance at 1:00pm. The Audition will go like this:
1. We’ll teach an adagio combination and make cuts right afterwards.
2. We’ll teach a jump combination and/or Company repertory combination and make cuts right afterwards.
3. About 8-12 dancers will stay and learn Company repertory.

Decisions will be made by Friday, September 22, 2017. You’ll be notified by phone and/or email.
