Wriggle Dance Theatre are Seeking an Exceptional Dancer / Physical Performer (UK) for a Children’s Show
Wriggle are excited to announce they have successfully secured funding from Arts Council England to devise and tour nationally, ‘Squidge’ a dance theatre show for children aged 3-8 and their grown-ups. ‘Squidge’ is all about our sense of touch and how this effects our everyday lives.
The devising period will take place Dec 2020 – Jan 2021, followed by a 30-date national tour (TBC) from Feb 2021 – April 2021. The show will have 3 performers; 2 dancers and a musician and will incorporate dance, physical theatre, live music and digital projections.
Wriggle are working in partnership with Warwick Arts Centre and Coventry University.
Call for dancers
Wriggle Dance Theatre are seeking an exceptional dancer / physical performer to join the cast. Dancers must have professional training in contemporary dance technique and improvisation and be used to working collaboratively, contributing throughout the creative process. We are looking for engaging performers who have experience of working with and/or performing for young audiences and families.
Rehearsals are due to take place in Coventry at Coventry University and Warwick Arts Centre TBC.
