Amsterdam based choreographer, dancer & video artist Andrea Hackl | Andrea Hackl Projects is looking for collaborators for a new project.
First research / production period will happen in Germany
LOOKING FOR:
– A professional female dancer / performer, 50+ who is interested in exploration of text / voice and has .experience with partnering work
– A female audio-visual or vocal-sound artist.
(encouraging professionals as well as master students to get in touch)
ABOUT:
VOICE [working title] A NEW MULTIMEDIA PERFORMANCE OF 3 WOMEN IN COLLABORATION WITH A VOCAL / SOUND ARTIST
EXPLORING:
COLLECTIVE / (HI)STORY – EMOTIONAL LANDSCAPE OF THE BODY – BODY / MEMORY – IDENDITY – FEMININITY / WOMANHOOD
This work looks into body memory and identity, the (hi)story we carry and store within our cells, the movement and dialogue that can be created from and between those stories and memories. Considering all the information we carry within us, that is shaping us and our physiology: To which extent is our body (not) our own?
The project and its creative process will be around / with / created by women. As this new work will be equally a work about womanhood, femininity & the female body. I am searching for a “senior” dancer / performer who would like to join this journey. I would love to collaborate with women of different generations & back grounds.
If addressing and speaking about trauma, I want to talk about the power to transcend and step beyond, to live through it. I want to talk about transformation, power & empowerment.
WHERE & WHEN:
1st research | production period incl. performance: 29 APRIL – 19/20 MAY 2019 in frame of a residency @ Schloss Broellin (De).
For the nature / thematic of this project, the research and creation process will be pretty personal. For the first research period we will come together in a 3 week residency.
OFFERED | PAYMENT:
Funding (as well as later, further performance possibilities) TBC
I am organizing a crowdfunding campaign and am aiming at a min pay of 500,- EUR / week.
So far, covered / taken care of during the 1st research period:
-> travel to/from Schloss Broellin
-> accommodation
-> meals

4: if you’d be available come for a meeting / one day workshop to Amsterdam
– date of meeting will be set in consideration with availability of people getting in touch.
26th,28th, 29thJanuary or 2ndFeb – please mention which days you would be available, also if on any of those days.
5: as funding has to be confirmed, if there would be interest in this research in any case or definitely just, if financially supported.
Audition: There won’t be an “audition”. If possible, it would be wonderful to meet with interested performers in the studio to get to know one another (see suggested dates above and please let me know about availability, when getting in touch).
