Backhausdance, Southern California’s critically-acclaimed contemporary dance company, is seeking male and female dancers for its 2018-2019 season.
Company member, Apprentice and Trainee positions available.

Strong modern technique with a solid ballet background is required. Audition will include a contemporary ballet barre, company repertory and improvisation.
When: Sunday 3rd June, 10am – 1pm

VIDEO AUDITION
Video auditions will be considered for applicants unable to attend a live audition. Footage should be between 3 and 5 minutes in length and include the following:
- Brief Self-Introduction: Name, Brief Description of Previous Training
- Technique Samples: Barre or Center Work (Plies, Tendus, Extensions, Across the Floor Progressions of Turns and/or Jumps, etc)
- Phrasework Sample(s): Variations, Improvisations and/or Choreography
