Calling the World’s Best Young Dancers for the 2019/20 ensemble of Rambert2.  Booking for Free Open Auditions for 2019 entry for the new Rambert2 company open on November 16th.

This is an MA program like no other.  Rambert2 is the first junior ensemble attached to a UK repertory company.  Rambert2 has been designed to develop and showcase the next generation of highly skilled, thinking dancers who work towards an MA in Professional Dance and Performance.  It is a pioneering new ensemble created in partnership with Rambert dance company to bring together dancers with outstanding ability, creativity and individuality.  This year during Rambert2’s debut UK tour they performed choreographies by  Rafael Bonachela, Sharon Eyal, Ohad Naharin and Benoit Swan Pouffer.
This Post-Graduate course trains and prepares the ensemble for successful professional careers within the industry, bridging the gap and taking their education to the next level.The 12 month program has four strands: training, performing, academic study and outreach activity.  This year’s ensemble have performed to schools as part of their outreach, performed at Sadler’s Wells and had public seminar’s from industry practitioners.
Professional training is modelled on Rambert Company’s training schedule to give industry insight with the freedom to grow, learn and develop.
A touring program showcases new pieces and international re-staging, allowing the young company to experience multiple UK venues, audiences and choreography throughout their training.  The 2019/20 season will see the new cohort perform works created by Andrea Miller, Jermain Spivey, Ohad Naharin.  Find more information on the course and how to apply for the free open auditions.

Entry Requirements: Completion of a full-time vocational training programme of three or four-years at a university or conservatoire OR equivalent professional experience gained in any dance discipline, including non-conservatoire styles.

Rambert2 is a full-time commitment. Applicants must be available for the entire period from the end of July 2019 until June 2020.
