City In Motion Dance Theater is Holding Auditions for the 2018-2019 Season

City In Motion Dance Theater is holding auditions for the 2018-2019 season for full time company dancers as well as apprentices. OPEN ONLY TO U.S RESIDENTS

When:
Auditions will be held on Wednesday, May 9th from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

Auditions will include a Ballet technique class and Modern dance repertory and improvisation.
Interviews will be held for selected dancers who display professional level dance technique as well as maturity in their artistry as decided by the co-artistic directors. Interviews may be conducted in person or via phone call.

Doors will open @8:45 am, please arrive before 9:30 when class will begin.
Please wear appropriate dance attire (nothing too baggy or distracting) with hair pulled away from the face.

Full time company members receive a monthly stipend during the 8 month contracted dance season (September – April).
Company class and rehearsals are held Mondays and Wednesdays 9:30-2:30, company class includes ballet and modern 9:30-11am with rehearsal to follow.
Three paid performances are held during the dance season, performers are required to attend dress rehearsal prior to each performance.
Occasional events and performances around the community as well as teaching opportunities.
