Company Chameleon is Looking for a Female Dancer to join the Core Artistic Team

Company Chameleon is offering the exciting opportunity for an experienced Female Dancer (maternity leave) to join our core artistic team from 6 December 2021, in a full-time salaried position with the Company. The successful applicant will be required to re-locate to Manchester (if not already residing in the city).

Applicants should have received training from a recognised school or conservatoire; we are looking for an experienced dance theatre artist with excellent contemporary technique and contact improvisational / partnering skills.

Candidates must have at least two years’ experience working in a professional touring dance company. Extensive performance experience, familiarity and openness to different choreographic approaches and proficient teaching skills are all essential – this post will cover three main areas of responsibility:

• Create, rehearse and perform Company repertoire (indoor venues / outdoor festivals)
• Assist Artistic Directors in choreographic/creative development of residencies/projects
• Actively engage in the delivery of learning and participation programmes

Whilst the role will primarily be working in the Company’s home base of Manchester, the successful candidate will also be expected to tour nationally and internationally throughout the year – locations will vary depending on the Company’s touring schedule and projects taking place at that time.
