Misiconi Dance Company is Looking for Intern (m/f) Mover/Dancer for New Season
Misiconi Dance Company (Misiconi DC) is a dance company that works with dancers with and without disabilities. The only dance company in the Netherlands that works structurally with a mixed group. A dance company with ‘inequality’ as the biggest asset!
We are looking for an Intern m / f
Every Thursday and Friday we work in our studio at De Jagerstraat 53 in Rotterdam. We start each day with a joint training given by one of our dancers. In the afternoon we work on rehearsals and new pieces.
As a trainee you will participate in the structural work at Misiconi. You are present at the trainings and rehearsals in the studio and at (the preparation of) the performances and / or workshops. Own initiative is encouraged.
We are looking for:
– Trainee dancer with a physical disability, a lot of talent and want to become professional.
– Internship dancer with an learning disability, a lot of talent and want to become professional.
– Whether you are a third or fourth year student at a higher professional education or already graduated, in the direction of modern dance.
– Of course you have affinity with the target group of Misiconi DC.
– At Misiconi DC with its mixed dancers you need to be stable and be reliable and communicative and socially skilled. You must also work independently and take a lot of initiative.
– We do not reimburse travel expenses. Living in Rotterdam and surroundings, or a scholarship is more convenient.

Auditions: Thursday, July 5, 2018
from 10:00 to 17:00.

2 days per week (Thursday, Friday) Start: September 2018 Period: entire season, September to early July (in consultation)
