Rachel Clarke Dance Company is Looking for 1 Dancer to Take Part in Research Project CoDA

CoDA stands for “Child of Deaf Adults”, and in her piece Rachel is exploring the tensions that exist when you’re a hearing person that also is a part of the D/deaf and hard of hearing community and the barriers that exist between different modes of communication. Her research is working towards the creation of a touring contemporary dance theatre piece that incorporates British Sign Language.
The selected dancer will take part in a 3-week research & development period that will culminate in a sharing in front of invited guests. Rachel currently only has funding to support this current phase of the project, but intends to apply for more funding in the future to create & tour the piece.
