Regionteater Väst is Looking for Dancers
Regionteater Väst is Sweden’s largest touring performing arts institution for a young audience and one of the country’s largest producers of dance and theater. We create stage art that is accessible and challenging and that primarily targets people between the ages of 6-16 in terms of appeal and subject matter. Regionteater Väst has two production houses, one in Borås for dance and one in Uddevalla for theater. The business has an annual turnover of approximately 47 million SEK and 55 full-time employees, of which around 40 are permanent employees – artists, technicians, and administrators – all with a focus on giving children and young people an opportunity to meet a living performing art that places their voices at the center. We play about 500 performances a year and meet about 45 000 people. Regionteater Väst is part of Region Västra Götaland.
ABOUT THE WORK
As a dancer at Regionteater Väst, you will work with choreographers such as Nicole Neidert, Ioannis Mandafounis and Örjan Andersson. The performances tour around Västra Götaland and Sweden. The work is scheduled, mainly during daytime Monday-Friday, but evening and weekend work may occur, as well as overnight stays in another location. Rehearsals take place at Regionteater Väst in Borås. The nearest manager is Monika Milocco, Artistic Director for Regionteater Väst, Dance.

Requirements:
We are looking for you who has a broad, curious and creative ability as dancer, both in repertoire work and as co-creator in the process work. You want to work with performing arts for, by and with children and young people. You are structured and driven in your work and work well both independently and in groups. You should have an education in dance and preferably have professional experience in the dance profession. We welcome different life experiences and backgrounds to the position and our workplace.
