The Audition Workshop-London with Sam Coren (ex Hofesh Shechter, Jasmin Vardimon)
TAW-London with Sam Coren, Nicole Guarino and REGINA.
TAW aims to help (recent) dance graduates and second and final year students in full time dance education prepare for the different aspects of auditioning.
Sam Coren (ex Hofesh Shechter, Jasmin Vardimon a.o.) will lead a workshop based on his audition experiences and offer insight and advice in a movement and discussion based Audition Workshop. The workshop will be observed by dance artist and photographer Nicole Guarino (ex-Introdans, Scottish Dance Theatre) and Regina who will take notes to offer each participant brief written individual feedback based on their observations.
The workshop is followed by a one to one solo presentation and each participant will receive short written feedback based on their solo from all three artists. The workshop will close with a CV and Career Development session and an opportunity to sign up for a brief ‘speed’ mentoring chat with Nicole or Regina.
Nicole Guarino
Brasilian born Nicole is a freelance dancer, teacher and photographer based in London.
She has worked for Cisne Negro Dance Company, Introdans, and Scottish Dance Theatre, performing works by Ben Duke, Mark Baldwin, Itzik Galili, Jiri Kylian, Mats Ek, William Forsythe, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Hofesh Shechter and Liv Lorent amongst others.
Sam Coren
Sam is a performer, photographer and creator based in London.
As a performer Sam has has worked with some of the leading dance and theatre companies including Jasmin Vardimon Company, Ultima Vez (Monkey Sandwich R&D) and most recently spent 5 years as a senior member of Hofesh Shechter company. Other projects include working with Antony Gormley & Hofesh Shechter on the project ‘survivor’ (Barbican, 2012) and critically acclaimed opera Orpheus Et Eurydice (Royal Opera House, 2015) amongst others. He has also appeared in numerous music videos and film shorts as an actor as well as a dancer.
Open to dancers and full time dance students.
