Le chorégraphe portugais Rafael Alvarez/EIRA, recherche 2 danseurs/seuses contemporaine(e)s pour sa nouvelle création à Lisbonne (Portugal): “MIXED FEELINGS”.
Profil requis :
Interprète confirmé avec formation et une bonne technique en Danse Contemporaine, et/où notion du mouvement. Danseurs possédant une certaine maturité et une expérience de la scène será un plus (mais pas obligatoire). Forte présence physique, stant et disponible à des formes de travail expérimentales. Bienvenue aux danseurs contemporaines comme aux danseurs d’autres formes/langages du mouvement. En outre on recherchent des artistes (europeénes et non-europeénes) ouvertes, créatifs, désireux de s’engager et de servir un projet, ayant l’esprit de groupe.
Périodes de travail (planning en cours de construction et susceptible de modification) :

Le hebérgement, voyages et rémunération pour les danseurs internationaux sélectionnés, seront prise en charge pour la production du spectacle (EIRA).
Possiblité de tournée en 2017.

Description du projet ::
Rafael Alvarez travaille sur son nouveau project MIXED FEELINGS.
Création à Culturgest, l’un des lieux principaux pour l’art contemporain au Portugal, en Novembre 2016.
MIXED FEELINGS, le nouveau quartet de danse de Rafael Alvarez veut questionner les ennemis du corps comme s´il n’y avait pas de guerre, de penser la distance comme s´il n’y avait pas de proximité, de penser l’autre comme s´il n’y avait pas d’égalité, de penser le corps où la tristesse n’est pas une fin en soi (mais), le bonheur si. Sentiments partagés et mitiges des mondes à part, utopies ou eldorados?
MIXED FEELINGS est un projet sur, les sentiments dépareillés, des émotions conflictuelles, des impressions non claires, des expériences pour une meilleure compréhension du monde à la fois proche et loin, sur les idiosyncrasies du comportement humain, les échecs idéologiques et la résurgence des autres et sur l’éthique de la modernité et les rebelles avec une cause. Il vise à regarder le monde, ce monde créé par nous. Il ne prétend pas être sur l´ Ici et le Maintenant, mais il n´ est pas indifférent aux inégalités des scénarios géoculturels- économiques- politiques autour de l’Europe et du monde, qui se produisent aujourd’hui (comme hier).
Pour cette pièce, produite par EIRA (Lisbonne / Portugal) et co-produite par Culturgest / Foundation CGD (Lisbonne / Portugal), notre intention est de rassembler un équipe qui sera essentielle pour développer la thématique et l’objectif de ce travail – questionner les frontières/dialogues/confrontations entre l’est et l’ouest, et incarner de nouvelles possibilités afin d’explorer les concepts de l’utopie, pour répondre à un monde alternatif qui peut embrasser la diversité et la pluralité contre une vision néolibérale et normative.
Rafael Alvarez est un chorégraphe portugais, danseur, scénographe et créateur de costumes. Depuis 1997, son travail a été présenté en Europe, en Amérique du Sud, en Amérique du Nord, au Moyen Orient, en Asie et en Afrique. Son travail chorégraphique a un engagement fort avec des dimensions visuelles, conceptuelles et poétiques du mouvement et de la danse, et s’investit aussi dans les domaines des impacts sociaux et communautaires de la danse et de l’art.
EIRA est une organisation implantée à Lisbonne/ Portugal, dont la mission consiste à développer la danse contemporaine et la performance au Portugal et à l’étranger.
Depuis 1993, EIRA produit et soutien le travail du chorégraphe portugais Francisco Camacho. A partir de 1996, EIRA a commencé à produire et à promouvoir d’autres artistes portugais à l ´étranger. Aujourd’hui, EIRA est la maison de production d’un groupe de chorégraphes associés, illustrant différentes générations, à savoir Rafael Alvarez, Mariana Tengner Barros et Tiago Cadete.
EIRA est aussi un espace pour la danse contemporaine à Lisbonne. Depuis 1996, EIRA accueille et organise, dans ses propres installations, plusieurs résidences artistiques, des répétitions, des ateliers et des projets de recherche internationaux.
Depuis 2013 EIRA s´installé au Théâtre de la Voix à Lisbonne, l’un des plus anciens théâtres de ville où EIRA continue fournissant un espace de travail ouvert pour de nombreux artistes du Portugal et des autres pays.

The Portuguese choreographer Rafael Alvarez/EIRA, is searching for 2 dancers of contemporary dance for his next choreographic project “MIXED FEELINGS” that will take place in Lisbon (Portugal).
Dancers profile:
Professionals dancers with strong contemporary dance technique background or that can easily explore a contemporary dance movement approach. Strong performative presence and stage experience as well as interest to explore experimental creation processes in dance.
Dancers with distinctive and diverse cultural/geographical backgrounds are encouraged to participate, specifically dancers coming from outside of Europe but not only.
Creative and open performers willing to engage on a collective process.
Working periods (dates under construction and subject to modification):
> July 25th till August 20th 2016 (Monday to Friday) // Lisbon
> September 15 to November 12 2016
> Première: November 11 and 12, Culturgest, Lisbon
Travelling, lodging and dancers fees taking in charge by the project’s production structure – EIRA.

About the project:
Rafael Alvarez is working on his new work entitled MIXED FEELINGS, which will première at CULTURGEST, one of the leading venues for contemporary art in Portugal (in November 2016).
MIXED FEELINGS, Rafael Alvarez’s new dance quartet, wants to question the enemy’s body like there is no war, to think the distance like there is no proximity, to think the different like there is no equal, to think a body were sadness has no ending (but), happiness does. Mixed feelings, worlds apart, utopias or eldorados?
MIXED FEELINGS is a project of, with and about mismatched feelings, conflicted emotions, un-clear impressions, experiences for an understanding of the world both close and faraway, idiosyncrasies of the human behaviour, ideological failures and the resurgent of others, ethics of modernity and rebels with a cause. It aims to look at a world, this world created by us. It does not pretend to be about here and now but it’s not indifferent to the inequalities of the geo-cultural-economic-political scenarios around Europe and the world, happening today (like yesterday).
For this piece, produced by EIRA (Lisbon/Portugal) and coproduced by Culturgest/Fundação CGD (Lisbon/Portugal), it´s our intention to gather an international cast that will be essential to develop the thematic and focus of this work – to question the borders/dialogues/confrontations of east and west, and to embody new possibilities to explore the concepts of utopia, answering to an alternative world that can embrace diversity and plurality against the imposed neoliberal and normative one way vision. The project takes in accoun.
Rafael Alvarez is a Portuguese choreographer, performer, stage and costume designer, whose work has been presented since 1997 in Europe, South America and North America, Asia, Middle East and Africa. Alvarez choreographic work, has a strong commitment with visual, conceptual and poetical dimensions of movement and dance as well an investment in the social and community impacts of dance and art. Associated artist of EIRA, a dance production company and artistic director of BODYBUILDERS_Cultural Association, both based in Lisbon, Portugal. He also teaches inclusive dance/community dance and coordinates different educational/creative mixed ability dance projects in Portugal and abroad.
EIRA is a private organization based in Lisbon / Portugal who’s mission is developing contemporary dance and performance in Portugal and internationally.
Since 1993, EIRA produces and promotes the work of the Portuguese choreographer Francisco Camacho. From 1996 onwards, EIRA started to produce and promote internationally other Portuguese artists, being today the production house of a group of associated choreographers from different generations, namely Rafael Alvarez, Mariana Tengner Barros and Tiago Cadete.
EIRA is also a place for contemporary dance in Lisbon. One of the few working spaces for artists still available and open in the city. Since 1996, EIRA has been a working space for many Portuguese and foreign artists, hosting and organising in its own facilities in Lisbon, various artistic residencies, rehearsals, workshops and international research projects. Since 2013, EIRA is running the facilities of Teatro da Voz in Lisbon, one of the oldest theaters in town where EIRA keeps providing an open workspace for many artists from Portugal and beyond.
From 2014 onwards EIRA organizes biannually the new Lisbon’s International Contemporary Dance Festival – Cumplicidades.
