Candoco Dance Company is Looking for Dancers

Candoco Dance Company’s applications for the auditions are now open and they are on the lookout for talented (disabled and non-disabled) dancers to be part of their new projects set for Autumn 2024 – Autumn 2025.

Their new Co-Artistic Directors, Dominic Mitchell and Raquel Meseguer Zafe, come from disability justice, queer and decolonising practices, respectively – and they are eager to meet dancers who want to be part of the exciting work they envision for Candoco.

They are looking at creativity, curiosity, presence, and originality. Performers with either formal dance training or bespoke training, who feel confident adapting and remaking material, alongside creating from their practice and lived experience. They aim to embrace diversity not only in disability/non-disability identities but also by actively encouraging LGBTQIA+ dancers, individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, and dancers who identify as a person of the global majority to apply.
