ka·nei·see | collective Seeks 4 Identifies-as-Female Contemporary Dancers for a Performance in San Francisco

ka·nei·see | collective seeks 4 identifies-as-female contemporary dancers for a performance in San Francisco, CA, USA, March 7-10, 2019.

ka·nei·see | collective and Cat Call Choir seek 8-10 performers to collaborate alongside the original cast of 15 for an expanded iteration of Nevertheless, March 7-10, 2019 at Z Space Main Stage in San Francisco. Drawing inspiration from the feminist battle cry, “Nevertheless, she persisted,” Nevertheless surveys the field of gender-based harassment from the subtle to the violent, in a marriage of song and dance, comedy and horror.

Please note while this creative process and show is both fun and hilarious, it is also emotional, personal and necessarily crude due to its subject matter. Directors Tanya Chianese (ka·nei·see | collective) and Heather Arnett (Cat Call Choir) are interested in performers who wish to be actively involved in the gender harassment conversation and who are willing to collaborate and share their voices on this topic.
