TANZ_KASSEL is in search of a Rehearsal Director and Artistic Coordinator (all genders)
TANZ_KASSEL, the Contemporary Dance Company at Staatstheater Kassel (GER), is looking for an experienced Rehearsal Director and Artistic Coordinator (all genders) in full-time contract as of now (start of work after agreement).
With its artistic director Thorsten Teubl, TANZ_KASSEL, the Contemporary Dance Company at Staatstheater Kassel has been newly formed and works with a curatorial model that is fully committed to the diversity and internationality of contemporary dance. Various ambitious international guest choreographers are creating new pieces for the company and offer dancers the chance to experience an extraordinary variety of choreographic styles and to dance an unusually wide repertoire.
We are looking for someone (all genders) inspiring, strategic, and highly collaborative who is responsible for running rehearsals, classes (contemporary and classical ballet training), making schedules for work days and tours, managing and coaching the dancers, and working closely with the Artistic Director to ensure that all TANZ_KASSEL performances are rehearsed and presented to the highest standard. The holder of this position will facilitate the continued development of a healthy work
environment, promote strong and respectful internal communication between artistic staff and dancers. The candidate should have broad connections and networks throughout the classical and contemporary dance communities and performing arts venues. What we need: job experience, professional dance and teaching experience, strong people management and organizational skills. German language skills are necessary and expected.
We offer: Official full-time work contract according NV Bühne with a regular monthly salary, all social guarantees.
